Boys Winter Invitational 2026: weekend questions

When and where is the Boys Winter Invitational 2026?

The Boys Winter Invitational runs Friday Dec 11 to Sunday Dec 13, 2026 at the Kentucky Exposition Center, 937 Phillips Ln, Louisville, KY 40209. It is run by The Academy Events.

What age groups play at the Boys Winter Invitational?

Boys club teams 12U through 18U, in Elite, Club and Classic divisions. The organizer lists 16 divisions and about 550 teams.

Is the Boys Winter Invitational a stay-to-play event?

The organizer partners with Team Travel Source for hotel rooms, and its event page does not state a stay-to-play requirement. Check the event site and your club's rules before you book a hotel.

When is the schedule released?

The organizer says the schedule is released on AES the week of the event. Play runs in AM and PM waves; on Saturday the AM wave starts at 7:30 AM and the PM wave at 2:30 PM.

How much is parking at the Kentucky Expo Center?

The Expo Center charges for parking and says rates can change. You can pre-pay on ParkMobile (allow 5 minutes for the pass to activate) or pay at the gate. In/out passes are sold only at the gates. Use Gate 4 or Gate 6; Gate 2 is temporarily closed.

Which airport is closest to the Kentucky Expo Center?

Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) is right next to the Expo Center, about 2 miles away. Many airport hotels on Phillips Ln are under a mile from the venue.

Where can a team eat near the Kentucky Expo Center?

Hotel restaurants and chains on Crittenden Dr are closest; Germantown and the Highlands (2–3 miles) and downtown's Fourth Street Live (about 4 miles) have more group-friendly options. PlumJar is lining up team meal options and will list them once a restaurant confirms.

Is PlumJar part of The Academy Events?

No. PlumJar is independent, not affiliated with or endorsed by The Academy Events, 3 Step Sports or the Kentucky Exposition Center. The PlumJar service is free for families; you book and pay any hotel or restaurant directly.

Why do I need to activate my sign-up?

So we know the email really belongs to you and every family in a group is real. After you save your spot, open the activation link we email you from [email protected]. Your spot counts once it's activated.

Does it cost anything?

No. Joining is free, and so is using your discount code. You pay the hotel, restaurant or ride company directly, at the group price.

How do I use the discount?

When your weekend group opens, we email your family's PlumJar code and the list of deals. When you book or pay, give the business your code and the email you signed up with. They check it and apply the group price. For hotels, your pass includes the hotel's group booking link.

Do we have to travel with the group?

No. The group only exists to get better prices. You choose your own hotel, flights and plans, and book just for your family or together with your team.

Is the discount guaranteed?

No. Discounts depend on what local businesses agree to for each weekend, and they can change. You'll see every deal and its terms before you use your code, and you never have to use one.

Do you book for me?

No. You book and pay the business directly, so you stay in control of your plans. We find the deals and give you the code.

My event makes us book through its own hotel list.

Some events require families to stay in their hotel block ("stay to play"). If yours does, we'll tell you, and still help with restaurants, rides, travel and the rest of the weekend.

Why group families from different events?

A hotel cares about how many rooms you fill, not which event you came for. Pooling every family in town that weekend makes a much bigger group than one team alone.

Who handles my request?
