Anaheim volleyball qualifiers 2027: weekend questions

When is the 2027 Girls West Coast National Qualifier?

There are two weekends. Weekend 1 is Jan 9–11, 2027 and Weekend 2 is Jan 16–18, 2027 (MLK weekend), at the Anaheim Convention Center, 800 W Katella Ave, Anaheim, CA.

Is there a boys qualifier in Anaheim the same weekend?

Yes. The Mizuno Southwest Boys Classic National Qualifier (boys 12U–18U) is Jan 16–18, 2027 at the Anaheim Convention Center, the same weekend as Weekend 2 of the Girls West Coast Qualifier. Check the event site for schedules.

Which divisions play on which weekend?

Weekend 1 (Jan 9–11): 11s–14s and 18s in all divisions, plus 15–16 American/Liberty and 17 American. Weekend 2 (Jan 16–18): 15–16 USA/Open and 17 Liberty/USA/Open. Check the USA Volleyball event page for updates.

Is the Girls West Coast Qualifier a stay-to-play event?

No. USA Volleyball says it is not a Stay and Play event. Team Travel Source runs an optional hotel block for teams. If your club requires its block, follow your club's rules.

Are all matches at the Anaheim Convention Center?

USA Volleyball lists the Anaheim Convention Center and Momentous Sports Center in Irvine (14522 Myford Rd), about 15 miles away. Check your team's schedule to see which site you play at.

When should we book our flight home?

USA Volleyball says the last match on the final day is scheduled for 3 PM and recommends not booking flights out before 6 PM.

Which airport is closest to the Anaheim Convention Center?

John Wayne Airport (SNA) in Santa Ana is the closest, about 14 miles away. Long Beach (LGB) and LAX also work; plan for traffic.

Where do we park at the Anaheim Convention Center?

The convention center garages and lots charge a daily rate that is set per event. Check the venue before you go. Many nearby hotels are walkable.

Is PlumJar part of USA Volleyball?

No. PlumJar is independent, not affiliated with or endorsed by USA Volleyball or the Anaheim Convention Center. The PlumJar service is free for families; you book and pay any hotel or restaurant directly.

Questions

Why do I need to activate my sign-up?

So we know the email really belongs to you and every family in a group is real. After you save your spot, open the activation link we email you from [email protected]. Your spot counts once it's activated.

Does it cost anything?

No. Joining is free, and so is using your discount code. You pay the hotel, restaurant or ride company directly, at the group price.

How do I use the discount?

When your weekend group opens, we email your family's PlumJar code and the list of deals. When you book or pay, give the business your code and the email you signed up with. They check it and apply the group price. For hotels, your pass includes the hotel's group booking link.

Do we have to travel with the group?

No. The group only exists to get better prices. You choose your own hotel, flights and plans, and book just for your family or together with your team.

Is the discount guaranteed?

No. Discounts depend on what local businesses agree to for each weekend, and they can change. You'll see every deal and its terms before you use your code, and you never have to use one.

Do you book for me?

No. You book and pay the business directly, so you stay in control of your plans. We find the deals and give you the code.

My event makes us book through its own hotel list.

Some events require families to stay in their hotel block ("stay to play"). If yours does, we'll tell you, and still help with restaurants, rides, travel and the rest of the weekend.

Why group families from different events?

A hotel cares about how many rooms you fill, not which event you came for. Pooling every family in town that weekend makes a much bigger group than one team alone.
